It seems that the New Year did not start well for Tamanna. Her much awaited “Siruthai” proved to be a blockbuster hit, but she did not gain much from it. Tamanna was not given due importance in the film. Her character is just that of a glamour doll. Since hero Karthi and Santhanam steal the show, her character was not noticed much both by critics and fans. Tamanna believed she would be the talk of the town after the release of the film. But sadly it did not happen and “Adukalam” heroine Tapasee rose to sudden fame after the Pongal releases. This had made the white princess go red with envy.
To her utter dismay Tamanna does not have many projects in hand at the moment. She is already facing a tuff competition from Amala Paul. Now the chances which were created for Tamanna are flowing swiftly to Tapsee. Tamanna acts with Dhanush in “Vengai”. That is the only Tamil project she is doing as of now. Though she was known as the number one actress in the Tamil film industry once, she is trying hard to retain her position now. Tamanna’s side spread news that she is very busy in Telugu films and has a successful career there.
Tamanna is actually doing a mega budget film “Badrinaadh” with Allu Arjun. But other than that, she does not have any promising projects in hand. She is known to have signed a couple of movies with other major heroes like Jr.Ntr in Tollywood, but the fans response is yet to be checked after her releases in Tollywood. Offers rejected by other top heroines in Telugu field are given to Tamanna there as she is ready to compensate on remuneration. Tamanna made the same mistake Asin and Trisha did moving to Bollywood. They lost their chances in Kollywood and were not able to become very successful in Bollywood. Tamanna is facing the same situation in Tollywood now.

However she has a lot of hope on Tamil fans still and hopes to come back from this set back in her career soon.
